The old school method was to attach the key tags to the key ring, which of course still works. This however, becomes a major task to handle the numerous key tags which break often, become defaced so cannot be read easily.
There are several options that can be considered to store this type of information and easily recover when required.
1. The old-fashioned, old school, tried and tested key ring. Do not discard that physical card ever! You do not have to attach the cards to your regular house or car key ring. Get a separate key chain / key ring and attach all cards here.
2. Create one contact named something like “Key Cards” and copy all cards information in the notes field. This is only to save the information in one place and not really meant to retrieve it when required at the store or to access the club. This place is only to store the data and does need to be updated when the information changes. Consider this as a “backup” of your cards information on your key ring.
3. Another good old school choice is to create a document, save the document on your OneDrive® or DropBox® and also keep a tiny font printout in your wallet or pocket book! This can be another backup. Manage cards & numbers - library, membership, shopper, frequent flyer etc.

4. Now come the high-tech smartphone options! An easier and quick method to conveniently store and retrieve this type of information is to use apps on your smartphone. These apps are mostly user friendly, they store a copy on their cloud and have quite a few good features and functions that can be very helpful.

Better than to look for somebody else’s reviews, a good idea is to download each of the app, enter not more than two non-essential cards or numbers and play with it for a few days. Decide on your own, which one works for you.
Usually, once you start using a specific app, it gets easier to use and access as you keep using it frequently. When you are comfortable with the app that you want to use, delete the other ones and enter the rest of your cards and numbers.
If you have the time and the inclination, you can install two separate apps and manually enter the data in both, this can be your online, on cloud backup!
Good luck! Make the most of your shopping, gym, library or the frequent flyer memberships.
